Sunderban Mangrove Retreat believes in the utilization of eco-friendly tourism as an important tool for conserving the natural resources of the mangroves of the Sunderbans tour for future benefits and welfare of the local people.

Our Objective is not only to enjoy the flora and fauna of the Sunderbans, but also to help those living around this World Heritage and try our hardest to keep this site intact.
Besides entertaining people we are committed to extend our helping hand to those ravaged by the fury of the cyclone "AILA" in and around the Sunderbans. Your active support is a must to help the people of the Sunderbans, who depend mainly on cultivation, fishing collecting honey, firewood, etc., whose very livelihoods vanished overnight during "AILA".

We have renovated schools and ferry ghats. We have also built a 400m river-side embankment in Jamespore. We also run a monthly Medical Camp with the help of Lions Club and Rotary Club. We have had the honour of being a vital part of the disaster management program in Satjalia Island, where we are supplying food, water, clothes, medicines and doctors for the relief of the helpless people of the Sunderbans.
